7D and Neoscene or Sorenson Squeeze 5?

I do not have my 7d yet-just trying to get my ducks in a row. If I have squeeze 5 do I still need Neoscene to work with 7D footage? What performance increase should I expect from Neoscene? What tools do you use and what is your workflow? I have a quadcore and vegas pro 8.
 
I'd go with NeoSCENE. However, make sure that after you install NeoSCENE, you copy-away the cineform DLL that Vegas 8 uses, otherwise it will use the old DLL to decode these files, and that old DLL is buggy. I have info on how to do that on my blog.
