Anyone know of any quality ones? Looking to get one for an A1 XH. I've heard B&W is good, but there's so many on BHphoto that I don't know which one to get.

anyone really, they are pretty much the same.

i got me a B&W 70 010 UV haze filter

You can get a normal U.V, but it is better if you can get a multi coated U.V. it helps to lower the lens flare.

I've see the difference of shoots wheni use it on my SLR.
That is why i spend a bit more on the HOYA (HMC)lens. I took a quote from their site:

HMC (Hoya Multi-Coating)
These popular filters are renowned for their ability to minimise reflection at the filter surfaces which reduces flare and ghosting. The result is an average light transmission of over 97%, giving sharp contrast and well balanced color. HOYA HMC filters are recommended for enhancing the performance of today's multicoated lenses.

Here ia a site that shows you why you should get mulit coated lenses.

I've been using a Hoya Pro 1 Digital UV filter and its going right in the trash can.
After reviewing some shots where I got light on the lense, I noticed some spotting. Thinking it was dust or dirt, I removed it to clean and noticed it was actually pitting in the glass itself. Very hard to see unless you look carefully in full sun at an angle but easy to see in your recorded shots.
Dont know if this is a fluke or standard Hoya quality.
For what these cost, think I'll try another brand.
