72mm Heliopan Pol filter- cannot attach lens hood?

Hi,

Yesterday I brought a 72mm Polarizer filter. On the filter it says, Heliopan PL - lin. 2.5 x 72X0.75. It also has a dial 0 - 18 .

After I attach the filter to the DVX, I am unable to attach the original lens hood ( DVX lens hood). I also tried to attach the filter before removing the DVX lens hood but cannot attach the filter.

Is this the right filter or am I doing something wrong. Please advise.

try loosening the set screw on the lense hood as far as it will go.. the little clamp likes to get in the way whn filters are on.
