i'm positive this has been covered already but i need a straight forward tutorial on how to do this because i need to meet a deadline. this is my first time working with hd footage, and i've learned a lot in the process. now comes output. i've been looking all around by haven't found anything that answers my questions directly.
i am exporting from avid btw.
1. downconverting. i need to get 720p 24p footage to a dvcam tape, i have to turn it in with some other people's stuff for class year end showing. i'm told all material has to be at 720x480 as dv ntsc to be outputted to a dvcam tape. i've run some quick tests and the footage either comes out squished, looks like junk, and or both.
2. i eventually need to put this on dvd for my cast and crew. is there a way i can set up the dvd to play as a 4:3 film and or a 16:9 film depending on what kind of television the person has? which leads to a third question.
3. how do i make native widescreen footage look right on a 4:3 television?
any help will be appreciated.
