720P projection

Wasn't sure where to post this.

A project is being projected from blu-ray disc through a panasonic 720P native projector. It can handle a 1080i signal (the project source is 1080P) but want to optimize for best results. Is it worth downscaling the project and burning a 720P blu-ray or should I burn a 1080P blu-ray and have the DVD player/projector downscale internally?

I have a 720p projector (Optoma hd65) and found that it was better to let the projector downscale from 1080p rather than give it 720p. It was negligable though - I would do your own test 1st if possible
