Does anyone know the proper compressor setting for rendering out a 720p movie trailer?

So far the only thing i've figured out is that the data rate needs to be extremely high, somewhere around 5700 to 6400.

If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated!

I think you got it right. Just of course make sure its 1280 x 720p in the size ratio, some of the videos on the quicktime site are different aspect ratios as well, so some are 1287 x 643 and other wierd numbers because of how they were shot i guess. BUt HVX footage should be 1280 x 720 obviously.

Make sure you have your audio as AAC , to save space there and keep audio quality. YOu know you have it right when 1 minute of 720p trailer video equals about 40 - 50 megs
