720p footage in 480p sequence doesn't look too good?

I have some hvx200 footage to mix in with dvx100 footage, but it seems when I fit the whole 720p frame into the 480p window it looks almost as if it's half the resolution of 480p.

Straight diagonal lines become jagged, and individual pixels seem to be blown up. Is there a setting I should know to make it resize the footage better?

Thanks!

The only way I can think of is to open a 720p time line and export it to movie in 480, then you can open a new 480 project and you can combine both now.

My guess is it is simply Playback settings.

Can you view it on an external Monitor?

Output (export) it anyway - Should be fine.

Assume you scaled it down to fit?

Go into the Effects tab and you will see Motions, open it up and there's an option for scale. Just scale it down until it fits.

Your efforts to help a newb are greatly appreciated!

edit - I can't figure out how to scale a whole batch of clips. Possible? Thanks again.
