7200rpm usb powered 2TB HD?

[rawfa]

I´m not sure if this is the right place to post this, so MODs feel free to move it.

I was looking into buying a western digital 2tb HD but then I´ve read they´re 5400rpm. Is there a 7200rpm usb powered 2TB HD out there that you guys may suggest?

I have a LaCie D2 Quadra 3TB and a couple 2TB Iomega minimaxes. The LaCie is 7200 rpm. I'm not sure about the Iomegas. I have the LaCie and one of the Iomegas daisy chained to my office IMac and they're both fast and silent. I bought the first of the Iomegas maybe 4-5 years ago and it's still serving well paired with a Mac mini connected to our tv.

I've not had good results with the two WD hard drives I've owned. Each went belly up shortly after the warranty expired.

I don´t mind using small laptop HDs as long as they´re not 5400rpm. I have a USB 3 port available and I would really prefer if the Hd could be powered by the laptop instead of adding more cables.
