6Volt into Tascam DR100?

I want to power the DR100 externally because it only runs for 1 hour on rechargable batteries. But the DR100 requires the odd voltage of 5 volt while I must have at least 12 6V power units normally used for hard drives.

Yes you can already guess where this is going... I'm looking at my DR100 and I'm looking at a 6V power unit and I'm thinking... should I do it or should I not do it?

What you think guys.... will that 1V extra blow up the DR100 and should I go the safe way and order a 5V power unit?

You'll be fine. I ran my DR-100 on 6 volts regularly with no negative impact. Just make sure your polarity is correct but don't worry about the extra 1v.
