63PQ's to 83PQ's

Would I have any issues. I remember reading somewhere, maybe here that there were issue with tapes breaking? Or something else??

I used 83 PQ's a couple of times to show my 70-minute long movie. No problems. However, I always used the 63's for recording. One - they are cheaper, and two - you lose 63 minutes as opposed to 83 minutes if something goes wrong.

Thank God, though, for no more tapes. All solid state recording for my EX1 using SxS and KxS setups.

Anyone else care to chime in on the 83's?

More tape. Heavier reels. More stress on the mechanisms. More potential for dropouts.
