63 vs 83 Min MQ tapes

I'm gettin ready to buy my stock for a feature.  I was just curious if, besides the money, are there any difference between the 2.  Does the 63 min capture better quality since it's using more tape?

And another question: is the mentioned times(63 and 83 mins) when recording at SP or EP.  The panasonic website lists these tapes as "83/55 Mins" and "63/42 Min."  Can somebody help me out here.  Thanks.

If you use a DVX, you shouldn't use 83min MQ tapes. It's written somewhere in the manual! So you should buy the 63min!

The 83min tapes cram more tape into the same sized case, making the tape itself thinner. This can cause problems as it goes through the tape transport and the heads. Stick with the 63min tapes as Ronik said.
