60i (z1u) and 24p (7D)

I'm shooting now with only 1 camcorder (SONY z1u) and 2 DSLR's (Canon 7D), now how will I work in post? I hear good things in regards to the 24p format on the 7D, but the z1u is only capable of shooting at 30fps (60i). The 7D can shoot both 30 and 24... but what are your recommendations? 30 with z1u and 24p with 7d or both at 30? If I shoot at 24p with the 7D and 30 on the z1u how will I edit both on one timeline in Vegas and export to dvd?...and what DVD format...24p or 29.976? What setting and etc...
