60i Interlace quetion

I am working with some 60i footage on a 29.97 time line ( i have some 24p footage on the same time line ) how would i or should I de-interlace the 60i.....and how is the best way/process to de-interlace the 60i and in what order - ie: before putting it on the time line , After ...so on

If you have 60i footage on a 60i timeline what do you hope to gain by de-interlacing the footage? Is this HD or SD footage and what do you ultimately want to do w/the finished piece (put it on DVD, put it on the web, lay it back off to tape, etc,.)?

This project is going on the web what would you recommend for exporting settings to get the highest quality -this is SD footage I'm shooting with 100B
 
I would keep the project interlaced and just de-interlace the final export. KenStone.net has some tutorials talking about some of the best ways to compress for the web.
