Hello.
Shot some footage with the 60D and would like to convert a quick clip into an animated GIF image. Anybody know any good softwares for MAC that can get the job done? Any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Animated gifs are heavy (filesize) and slow. What is the end application for this? Are you going to the web with it? Animated gifs work best for small 5-10 frame animations like a banner ad, not video footage. A 640x480 10 second clip will run you several megs in file size and will bog down the end users computer so it will play back at a crawling pace.

Please post what you are doing with it so we can better assist you. But to answer your question you can build it in photoshop (if you are pre cs3 photoshop you will have to use imageready).

Yup indeed, I agree with Mr blue, too.
But I am using another document and image conversion SDK instead of Photoshop. Because I prefer the one whose way of processing is simple and fast when I need to do with the conversion work.It saves a lot of time for me. It is just one of many but I do appreciate its simple way of processing. Even though I only tried its free trial package to convert 60D footage to GIF image and didn′t check the cost and licensing conditions, it worked great for me. Besides, this site also gives a lot of tutorials about how to convert document image using C#.NET. Share with you. And I hope you success. Good luck.

Best regards,
Arron
