60 Screenwriting DVDs Package

in a word: don't ...

not because they're not any good -- that i don't know about -- but because the company has a tendency to take your money and not send you your order.

here's what i wrote on another thread:

be careful when ordering dvds from creative screenwriting. i ordered a few quite a while ago and haven't rx'd them, nor heard a peep from cs. they don't answer their phone, and they don't answer emails. from what i've read over on the donedeal forums, my experience is not unique.

I buy a lot from the writers store. Never had a problem.

I've purchased several things from CS, and 1 DVD (out of 20) never arrived -- had to call, e-mail numerous times and they said that they had a girl working for them last year that was incredibly inept and they didn't find out about it until she had screwed up so many orders that they couldn't figure it out. They were stymied bigtime.

I eventually received my DVD 11 months later.

Yeah CS has gone through a change of late when it comes to subscriptions and purchases. Go over to Done Deal Pro a read about threads over there where the Chief Editor posted apologizing for all the cock ups of late.

That said, buying 60 DVD's of anything I don't think is a good thing. Kyle lists some pretty solid books in his thread.

May I ask just what you want most from this pack? Dialogue, structure, action prose? etc?

EJ

Thanks for warning! So from the writers store, are there any dvd's you'd particularly recommend for an intermediate writer wanting to take his work to a new level?
