60 fps/FCP crash

Hi guys,

I have a quick question. I shot some stuff at 60 fps a few months ago. While ingesting the media FCP froze then crashed. I tried again and the same problem occurred. I'm running FCP 7 on a 15" Macbook Pro. Any thoughts, suggestions or comments would be great. Thanks!

60p import FCP crash

Hi guys,

I've been trying to import content off a SDHC card into final cut. I originally shot it on my HMC-150. It is 60p/720 each time I tried to do so it crashed my edit system and the log and transfer failed. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this to work. I would appreciate the advice. Thanks!

Hi buddy~HMC-150 records video in AVCHD MTS fortmat which FCP couldn't support well, so it crashed. The best way is converting HMC-150 AVCHD video to MOV or Prores first, FCP supports these two formats perfectly no matter 1080p and 720p. Here's a similar guide you can follow http://www.aunsoft.com/import_sony_hdr-sr10e_avchd_mts_to_final_cut_pro_fcp_for_editing/

Whaaa? I've never had a problem with 720p60 and L&T. L&T is really buggy though, I've had it crash on all sorts of footage, ESPECIALLY if you're trying to play clips while it's ingesting anything. Happens on my C2D iMac, happens on an 8-core Mac Pro.
