6-8 TB Raid Solutions

I'm still looking at RAID options for larger storage at work in post production, instead of a series of external hard drives. At the moment, I am drifting over to these enclosures, http://www.cooldrives.com/fodrulsarera.html with four 1tb or 2tb drives. Then connect it via e-sata to a Mac Pro.

Then once doing that, purchasing one of these http://www.frys.com/product/2690822?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

With the RAID enclosure attached to the Mac Pro, I'd attach the Mac Pro to the router, and network it with 3 or 4 other computers. Would this be a suitable solution for SD and HD post production, both in capturing, rendering, exporting, and sharing projects amongst 3 to 4 computers? We're on a limited budget, and by the time we have filled up all of these hard drives, we'd have spent the amount for a bunch more reliable solution.

This Spring I bought a Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2 from MacSales.com, added four 1.5 TB Western Digital Green Drives to create a 4.5 TB RAID 5 box, which has worked perfectly from day one. Using one eSATA connection, this configuration benchmarks at 180 MB/sec for write speeds and 200 MB/sec for read speeds. It could be faster if I used the hotter running WD Black drives, but all I was interested in was space and reliability. The best thing about this RAID 5 solution is that it will completely re-build the RAID without having to have a computer connected to it, so no special software or connection card is required. ( you can also use it with many different computers because it works with a standard eSATA connector )
