5D mk2 & audio ... record separately and sync in post

So I am trying to figure out the best audio setup for filming with the 5D Mk2.

Instead of using a juicelink to hook directly into the 5D, we were thinking of recording separately. Will have a boom and the NTG-3 (and looks like also the AKG SE300B/CK93). We have the software to sync in post, what mixer or recording device (sorry, I am somewhat of a novice on the audio) should we connect directly into?
 
A heads up.

If you are editing picture in FCP there is a bug that can make life hard. You need to use a special quick setup BEFORE you bring footage in or imported audio will be out of sync. I think I put the link to the Qsetup in the 5D section.
