i am looking to get a fisheye for one of my cameras but cant decide if i should get a canon lens for my 5d an attachment lens for my hvx200 or jus buy a cheap gopro.

i will be using the fisheye mainly for follow filming on my snow/skateboard.

things to consider:

sports filming
mobility
stability
price
hvx has multiple frame rates
5dmk2 photos
gorpro size

im just asking for your opinion on what you would want to use when filming snowboarding/skateboarding

thank you

If your doing skateboarding I would go hvx because you might get some aberrations with the 5d with so much movement. Plus like you said you get smoother looking overank and you can under crank if you want. Better dynamic range too.

That seems logical.

Just my opinion

I agree with Brandon. I just saw the gopro footage from last weekend at northstar and it turned well with a diy handle. it's waterproof and has a great picture. I just hate to see my expensive gear sitting at home but atleast Incan still have fun snowboarding.

as for skateboarding my hvx would be prime but feel I'd rather still use gopro for it's price

thanks for everyones opinion. time to replace my broken gopro
