5D and JVC HD100 in same timeline?

Hey All,
I`m doing a series of projects using footage from 5Dmk2 and from JVC HD100 (which is HDV 24p) So far, with all all the presets I`ve tried, I still end up with having to render footage from one or the other (loooooong). AND each time I move it or cut it it wants to re-render.
These are 2 hour long pieces so....no!
Anyone had to do this/figured out settings with a fast/no render work flow?
I`ve done JVC footage 24p and 30p combined w/ no renders and no problem. Also done JVC 24p with DVCAM 30 fps and 4x3 aspect also no renders needed!
Which leads me to think its possible.
I`m using the latest FCP on a new Macbook pro.
Thanks!
Robert

I think the only way to avoid this would be to transcode the footage from both sources to the same codec, maybe ProRes.

5D and JVC HD100 in same timeline?

Thanks Ram and Noah.
I will try that and report back!
Be happy to hear from anyone else on this, too.
Robert

OK...what Noah said. Convert both to a uniform codec.

Or...get Avid Media Composer 4.0 that mixes frame rates and codecs in timelines without issue. BUT, since you have FCP, let's stick to FCP advice.
