This a really good 55 minute interview with Lloyd Kaufman (IMDb) about the state of independent film. Kaufman is referred to by some as the Roger Corman of the east. Agree or disagree, he isn't afraid to say what he thinks and is very vocal and opinionated. There are quite a few gems in the interview if you can get around some of the strong opinions he has.

He talks about making money with his films, he talks about distribution offers he's gotten internationally, Blockbuster, NetFlix, and his experience with getting his films into theaters back in the 70s versus right now. He mentions the amount offered for one of his movies in Japan and mentions how much money he makes with his catalogue of movies on NetFlix. Overally I'd say it's a harsh look at independent filmmaking that forces you to re-evaluate your strategy to find what will work for you. Worth checking out if you're a producer/director.
