50mm Canon fd F1.4

[jgastelb]

Where would be the best place to buy the Canon FD 50mm f1.4? What's the going price if anyone knows? What other lens could I use for the letus35A if this one is too expensive?
I can't seem to find it anywhere. Probably looking in the wrong places. I'm trying to get my hands on a good one before I receive the adapter... Thanks for any info.

eBay definately is the place. I bought a lens with your exact spects for 68$ almost brand new. BH photo sometimes has good used lenses.

careful on ebay, if the item is scratched or any defects with the glass, youve paid for something that is gunna make you frustrated. its bettre to get it from an authorized dealer. more legit, less worry.

You can use anything with a Canon mount, if it really comes down to it. Many people get hung up on the use of a 50mm lens for their adapter. 50mm lenses are nice because they are generally fast, cheap and are a 'normal' lens. But you can use any focal length lens, as long as it fits on the mount. I'd recommend fast lenses as much as possible as the light loss from the adapter is no fun.
