I'm shooting 95% of a project @25p, but I want to mix this with some 50i footage shot on a little Panny GS400.
I'd like to know what the implications of doing this are. Obviously 50i & 25p images have a different aesthetic, but is it technically okay to mix them, or will I run into all kinds of trouble down the track when I try to master/export the project.
In other words, must I deinterlace the 50i footage, or can it sit happily in a 25p timeline?
Sorry for my ignorance, I'm struggling to learn FCP at the moment and I don't trust my intuition.
