well, i know this is probably a stupid question, but i just purchaced a bogen 503 fluid head with some random legs from B&H. and when i secured the head to the legs the head just doesn't secure very well to the legs, a lot of jitter and the panning is as it should be and then for about 90 degrees of the turn it feels loose. and the booklet that came with it is no help, and i dont want to force anything.

so...

anyone who has one or has put one together i could use a hand.

thanks,
-brad

yeah, i may do that, but i realized something at work, so i'll try it when i get home, then do some emailing.

Did you tighten the 3 screws underneath the head that keep it from spinning loose?

Take the head off the legs and make sure it's totally secure to the adapter.

i had the same problem with the three screws inside the actual head coming loose. I took it apart and tightened up the screws. Don't know if it's the same problem, but you can give it a shot....
