500 Watt COB

Saw this recently on the Yugi LED Web Store.

It's actually listed as 450 Watts Max, but still pretty impressive. 23,000 Lumens, and the light emitting surface is just smaller than a Quarter (19mm). A bit pricey (out of my range) but some DIYer will give this a try in a big Fresnel or a Soft Box. It's impressive how fast LED Technology is moving now a days.

I very nearly ordered this a while back, and then I saw this http://www.rayzr7.com which costs almost the same as buying the Yuji, a power supply and a decent Fresnel light to modify. I reckon it could even be the same Yuji COB in the Rayzr 7 but reduced wattage to get better TLCI .

Nice. The available choices are increasing along with the quality. Prices have already started to come down for some products, though not the high end stuff so much.
