Hi,
Wish I had more $$, but spent them on MBP.
So was wondering, any MBP & FCPX folks know about monitor <$500 that at least matches color/rez of MBP?

I use an older 23 inch Cinema Display connected to a thunderbolt port.
The thunderbolt port is back compatible with DVI mini.
Works just fine.

In Australia they go second hand for $150-$250.

Dell P2715Q. 4K/UHD. It's not quite the density of the rMBP screen, but it's better than a non-HiDPI display.

$499 at Amazon or B&H.

Picked up my asus pb279q 4k 27" ips display for 3500 norwegian kroner second hand, or around USD 427 in real money. So second hand is the way to go (have to be lucky tho!)...also a bit of a risk...doesn't have thunderbolt tho....and not exactlly a gaming display (oh never mind, you're on a mac! lol....
