$500 and a Tripod

If you had $500 dollars would you buy a new bogen 503 or a new condition - used cartoni action? PLEASE PM ME - I'm not looking to squash the guy who has 4 cartoni actions up for grabs. Just looking for advice. Thank you.
 
I repeat:

I use a Libec DV22 and I'm very happy with it (especially the carrying bag it comes with which is a life saver). It's solid, takes a beating and has settings to balance front and back heavy cameras. AND it's fairly reasonably priced so it's not the end of the world when you run over it with your car or have to use it as a weapon to fend off brain eating zombies. think I paid around $500 for it which is right in your budget range
