5 things that went wrong in post. Please share.

I'm going to shot my first short in the second half of September . I pretty much prepare everything by the book and by what I learned in filmmaking workshops. But I think is always better to learn from experience, and since I don't have such , it will be nice if some of you share some of the things that went wrong in post.

How did you fix the problem?
What is the worst dailies you have ever received ?

What HASN'T gone wrong in post? Too much to really get into. There are more issues and ways to solve them than you can shake a stick at.

But the BIGGEST thing people need to keep in mind is...ALWAYS think of post. When you are shooting, think of post...think of how you are going to deliver...what the final delivery format will be. Think about the repercussions of how and what you shoot. Shooting 5 cameras? Are they all IDENTICAL? Do they all shoot the same format? Same frame rate? If you just grab cameras and shoot, and don't plan for how you are going to edit it...piece it all together...then you have a HUGE problem on your hands. ALways think of post...ALL ROADS LEAD TO POST...so pave them with care.

I co-directed a 20min short film that I unfortunately tried to act in (smallish part). It wasn't until editing that I realized how truly bad I am. It was awkward because the show had heaps of potential but I never really wanted to try and shop it because of my acting.
