5-minute Promo Cost?

Hi, I was wondering what some of you charge for producing a 5-minute promotional video for a new start-up company? The cost would include; script, filming, editing, dvd master. Also, I was wondering about the breakdown of time to create the video.

Thanks,

Bryan

For my company, I can normally quote that on average it's going to cost $1,000-$2,000 per finished minute. That only includes camera man, sound mixer, camera, small light kit, audio kit, and editing in final cut pro. However, that's just really shooting. I would probably add at least an extra $1k for script writing & producing. Anything more (more crew, more lighting, dolly, jib, etc.) is extra. That's at least what the market will bear here in Knoxville, TN.

Allot really depends on what you are shooting. If you have to have me shoot multiple times, it's gonna cost allot more. But to be honest, if you have some years behind you and a good reel, $5,000 to $10,000 I think is minimum.

Thank Macville. Knoxville is a bigger market then here, but it is good to see what you cover in your prices. I can take that and make changes to make it apply here.

At this time I am not able to disclose that content of the video. I can say that it is a pitch video for a new tv show. The compant hiring is wanting to use this promotional video to gain sponsorships.
