5 camera set-up to live feed

I'm doing a 5-camera show and need advice of people who have done live feed. Basically the show will be fed live and i'm curious how to handle the signal being sent to the truck. I assume i should just run cables to the truck but i'm worried about the necessary length of those.

Anyone has done live feeds before? If, so how do you handle cabling?

What kind of cameras are these, and what kind of truck? Usually, for things being done live, you're working with Triax or Fiber cameras, which are suited for long cable runs - sometimes for the NFL games I do, we're running 200 feet from the truck to the stadium, a few thousand feet inside the stadium, and another 500 to the camera. If you're running HDSDI though, you've got to think about maximum distance, and making sure your cable is in tip-top shape.

Whatever you're doing, you should have a good technical director, or at least a few good engineers on hand to let you know about the technical details.

My engineering prof always told us to remember to "f#@k the truck with the horse c@ck" . In this more modern times we should say make sure to take the male end to the truck. You don't want to get 500 feet with the triax in tow and realize you brought the wrong end.
