5/8 Rods?

Has anyone tried 5/8" support rods?

15mm rods cost over $100 but 5/8" rods cost less than $20.

5/8" = 15.8mm so it seems larger.

Has anyone actually tried it?

The old Cinevate rods were 5/8" I believe. It's fine if you're making everything DIY but causes a problem when you're trying to use accessories designed for the standard 15mm rail systems.

All industry standard accessories use 15mm or 19mm so a non-stand size rod will screw you over down the line.
