5.1 update needed

Bought a new Canon XHA1 and need the 5.1 update.

I didn't ever think I would need the update seeing as I only own Power PC based G5's.

What can I do at this point to get the 5.1 upgrade? Now that Final Cut Studio 2 is announced I can't find anything on the upgrade from 5.0.4 to 5.1.

Rather lame. FWIW I have already ordered FCS2 as well and yet here I am with 20K of Apple hardware, every last bit of pro software from them and yet I can't edit footage from my new camera. WOW....

Does anybody out there have any ideas? I can't wait two months for them to finally ship the new product. I guess a call to Apple is in order tomorrow.

I had the same problem but i am an avid editor. i have xpress pro hd and fcp 5.0.4. I have to get the 5.1 or fcp studio 2. . let me know how it turns out. I mighthave to buy the software this weekend. not to mention i want to get a black magic card to edit high def.

(2) Put an ad out on your local (or semi-local) craigslists saying that's what you're looking for.

You might have some problems snagging it though. 5.1 isn't that old. FCP 6 (FCS 2) is available for less than half price if you have an old version of FCP (5.1) and just upgrade it. So I imagine a lot of folks are going to be holding onto their 5.1 copies to save several hundreds of dollars.
