So I have a handle on the basics of 5.1 but one thing eludes. Is it possible to apply just an effect to one of the surrounds without the original audio? For instance, I'm watching King Kong and there's a part where the actors voice comes from the center channel, but his echo/reverb comes from the surrounds. Can this be done in Vegas?
The only thing I can think of would be to have two copies of a clip, and have one be center, the other surround, and trim them so only the desired part comes through.
