Has anybody seen this? Looks interesting. Pretty cool site, too.

I got the sense that Walter Murch saved Coppola's ass on Apocalypse Now. Not just Walter, but all of the other editors who sifted through the millions of feet of film.

Don't get me wrong, I like Coppola, but this film couldl've just as easily been a pretentious piece of crap.

If you watch Hearts of Darkness, the documentary shot by his wife on the production you may also get the sense that his "vision" was more lunacy.

Haven't seen that workprint and I can't speak for it, but that sentence pitching it seems like an attempt to reel people in.

Now that I think about it; It'd be cool to take that 5 1/2 hours and cut your own version.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. A class in college had us edit a workprint of "Gunsmoke." It'd be hard to justify the investment in time of recutting AN!, though. Maybe just for watching. That site has some good and bizzaro obscure stuff and a lot of certifed trash.

On the site they state;

"5 Minutes to Live operates as a conversion service for fans of hard-to-find movies. Please note we do not sell factory release DVDs. All DVD-Rs are reproductions/conversions from public domain sources. No rights are given or implied."

I'd say they probably deliver the goods; beyond that, definately not legit.
