Forgive my lack of patience to search the boards here for a definitive word on the Panasonic 16:9 adapter AND a 4x4 or 6x6 matte box with flag and side flaps. I swear I've looked!
Topic: Panasonic AG-LA7200G 16:9 adapter AND Matte box:
I am in need of a fairly quick solution.
By reading, on this board, I've learned there are basically 4 different matte box solutions:
1). Cavision
2). Chrosziel
3). Cinetactics
4). Bogen
5). Formatt matte box
6). Am I forgetting any?
I've learned some are great and I've learned some suck (I personally will NOT use the cinetactics soft matte box). I've learned that some are to be used ONLY for the camera without the 16:9 adapter and I've learned that perhaps 1 and only ONE matte box will work with the 16:9 adapter.
I've learned here that the Panasonic AG-LA7200G is square (in the front) and the "Bogen matte box" will simply not fit. I am also learning that the Cavision matte box will not work with the 16:9 adapter either?
So, my head turns towards Chrosziel's corner, which is fine, but now I hear something about the lens shade on the AG-LA7200G will need some altering: 1mm lip? - in order for it to fit the Chrosziel 411-53PK? And I've learned that the places that sell that rig will not alter your sunshade if you buy it elsewhere - or something like that.
;D
8) ??? :
:-[ :-X :-/ :-* :'( = EQUALS = the emotions I've been going through researching this topic on this board. Allow me to keep my words in check - I wish not to offend.
What I am looking for is someone out there (hold my hand please) to point me to a solution - ultimately a place where I can purchase the 16:9 adapter AND, AND a matte box with 2 stages, french flag with 2 flaps on the side (i don't care about bellows).
If I can't get the two items at the same place, then where is a good place to get the matte box (THAT FITS THE 16:9 lens and the DVX100A) and a good place to get the lens (EVSonline I hear is a good place).
So - hoping I haven't aggravated anyone out there as I realize there are many of us with a lack of patience now-a-days, and hoping this post doesn't get moved, can someone just give me a simple and CORRECT answer?
To conclude: a 16:9 lens AND a mattebox to fit....
Hope someone can help. Thanks!
