Just got a Formatt matte box for my 100A, do a lot of large format architectural and landscape photography largely without filters, what is a reasonable 4x4 filter kit for documentary/exterior landscape work? Is Tiffen the best/reasonable? thanks, great info, btw, definitely recommend dvx book/dvd, pricy but worth it.

If you're doing a lot of landscapes there are several filters in the must have list:

1. Polarizer
2. ND grad set .3 .6 .9
3. Blue grad set
4. Red grad set
5. various corals
6. Autumn set
7. Fog
8. Enhancer

it really depends on what you want to do, but these are some of the more common one to cover the majority of situations. The last few on the list are not used too often.

you're best off researching them on sites like cetury optics to see the resulting looks of each to determine which one will fit your needs.
