4k Storage Solutions

I've been looking at Pro Max if I did ever go 4k on my own...

Anyone else have ideas how they would go about getting the best bang for their buck or smaller buck...

Really do like the new Sony F's... also have thought about going with a C500... shoot 2k for less storage and easier workflow... for film work...

A stedicam friend and I have even thought about buying a used Red... but we can wait until all the prices come out on the F's and see what Red has to offer... but we also like the idea of also only going 1080p if we do some smaller stuff for the small market we live in...

it depends,

do you really need a raid solution? or just a storage solution? or a small raid solution and a large storage solution?

what's the expected storage capacity in one year?

do you need backup for the storage solution?

do you really need to store the raw files indefinitely? can you accept using the raw files in a color grading software to create a prores 4444 master and deleting the raw files? or at least keeping only good takes from the raw files and trans-coding the rest into prores?

a lot of variables and levels of compromise.
