Well here is our entry for the 48 hour film project Louisville. It was my first attempt at using ANY 35mm adapter and it shows. Lots of soft images and I even bumped the zoom with my palm a few times so the adapter is even visible several times. It was pretty damn hard trying to watch my focus on the LCD with sweat dripping on it bouncing around in the back of a minivan.
Impressions of the Letus and adapters in general:
Wow that learning curve was pretty steep. Switching over to such a shallow depth of field and doing away with my zoom took some getting used to. I have had a pretty hard time with shots being soft. I have had an even harder time with how much light is lost. The HVX already has a hard time in low light and the adapter makes it that much harder. I was shooting wide open on the camera along with the fast Nikkors and lots of my shots were STILL pretty damn dark. I dunno what Im doing wrong but I cant believe how dark the images came out. I had ALOT of color correction to do. Anyway give me some setup tips for the future.
PS. I did cheat a bit. This is a slightly different edit than the original. The audio and brightness were gone over a bit more in this cut.
