Well it is January! Up here that means two things. It is stinky ass cold, and you have a bit of time on your hands. The cold is something I can deal with, the time thing I like to make use of.
So here it goes. I have never really been this involved with a comunity online. So I am not sure if my opinion is correct or not, but I think this place is rather unique, and impressive. The diversity and support this comunity has is great.
And we all have one thing in common, we like to make films/videos. So here is my pitch. How about a documentary about this comunity. And all are invited to contribute, and participate. There are so many things to showcase; how now has never been a better time to make a film; it is in your grasp; how the cross setion of members supports one another like days of old ( veterans supporting newbies).
I am sure most of us are proud of this place and our talents. So why would this not make an interesting documentary and showcase.
Right now this is very much in the light bulb over my head stage. But why not have members shoot a bit about themselves, show examples of your work, and talk about the comunity. I would love to cut it, with anybody else who wants to participate.
We all have the tools, why not give it a try.
