400mm lense on a 35mm adaptor

Hi everyone. Does anyone know if a 400mm lense with a 35mm adaptor would give a longer reach then the the hvx zoom? I often find i wish the zoom would go a little bit further. Thats certainly the only thing i miss from my gl2.
 
heck YES a 400 will provide longer reach! youre gonna need a rails setup for sure, thats a heavy lens!
 
It's not going to be that much longer, and with the complications of a 35mm adapter (unless you want the look) might not make it worth it if all you want is long reach.
