4:3 letterboxed in post- a question

Hi guys,

I shot 4:3 footage, and added the wide-screen filter in FCP.
How should I export the video, so that the image in QT isn't cubical? (there are the letterbox bars from above, AND the bars from the sides, so it looks like a square instead of a letterboxed image).

Export as anamorphic if you want a 16:9 image, but you will have to crop and zoom in the 4:3 frame to fill the frame of 16:9 and thus you will loose quality.
