Can I work with two projects at the same time with different settings in FCP HD?

I finished a Sweet 16 video 720 x 480, 29.97 on FCP HD; and now I just shot some test footage (24p Advanced and Squeeze mode) with my new DVX100A, which I want to post here for feedback...

Can I capture the new footage in a new project while still having the Sweet 16 without interfering with each other?

Can I author a DVD using both source videos?

You can make a new sequence but best to make new Project.
You can convert each to DVD usage, even if running different frame rates, if you have DVD Studio. Export each separately/
