4:3 -> 16:9

I can't seem to figure out how to letterbox the output in Vegas 5. I get a squeezed pic if I try the ratio.

You have to pan/crop the image to the 16:9 preset...then make sure your project settings are at a widescreen format....but if you want a letterboxed image...keep a regular 4:3 project..and just pan/crop the picture to 16:9 and the black bars should appear.
