A big thanks to the huge response I got for the unscheduled shoot today it being the beginning of HD Expo and all. I only needed one stagehand but took the top two, experience wise, out of the 16 that responded because "hplo" or "Ken" has 40 years of experience as a DP and I'm ALWAYS OPEN to EXPERIENCE. So really, thanks for all the support. Putting a team together at the very last minute is, in a word, challenging.

You know, someone, and I told him I wouldn't say who because of his position, really gave accolades to the JVC group on this Board for its cohesion and willingness to help...not just talk about it but do what they say. He said that while all the forums are like big, extended families, the JVC forum was the only one which was consistently functional...a very cool compliment. The forum very seldom have differences of opinions that digress into a mass of name-calling and off-subject, personal attacks. Now that's a great group and that's a great Moderator. Anyway, I'm pleased to have found the forum and proud to represent it.

We're at HSR (by the way, if you ever want a Class A production/editing facility, nothing fancy just all you'll need and great people, ring up HSR) 620 South Flower St. in Burbank all day today so if you're headed to the expo, stop by the stage, tell the guard you're here for Jonathan and Hawkfeather Productions, grab some craft service and say Hi. I'll be pleased to meet you and again, thank for the support and thanks.

So true my friend! I love this forum because of gentlemen like you Jonathan, as well as Stephen, Nate, and Chris.

You all have made buying and then using the JVC one of the funnest things I have done in this business! I'm so happy I bought the camera - and so proud to be associated with the great group of guys we have over here. If you guys are ever out in the Detroit area, let me know and the first picther's on me.... :)

I'll go for that. And by the way, I can't let this go by ..."kplo" as he's known here...that's Ken Plotin. We had a rather "Unique" shoot today and I really can't say enough about Ken. Forty+ years as a DP in the business really showed today. This guy just stopped by because he knew this was an unscheduled shoot and thought he could lend a hand on a time-difficult shoot. If any of you want to listen to the voice of experience or watch a whirlwind, he's the MAN. Lighting, gripping, gafffing, camera... I really can't tell you how much it changed the tone of today and we wrapped 12 pages of script...single spaced...with 2 wardrobe changes, EFX, audio problems, retakes because of ambient sound in a less-than-stellar "sound stage" pressed into service at the last minute in 7 hours. Ken, thanks and thanks to the rest of the 3rd Unit crew and Armando Barker, stagehand extraordinaier. You guys can work for me anytime.

Saint-J, were you guys able to composite and get the stuff ready for the network already? You guys took on quite a task, but as always, came out ahead of the game, finishing 2 hrs early! :)
