3DX Rugged Hard Drives

Hey, I've been looking into portable hard drives that offer some more reliability than the usual ones. I found a hard drive by Olixir 3DX (http://www.ipexpress.co.uk/3dx_products.asp) and they look pretty good. I just wanted to know if anybody has had any experience with these drives before, or whether you guys have any better solutions for a cheaper price or something? I'm going to be shooting onto a Firestore in the field and backing straight up through a MBP onto a hard drive and the hard drive being rugged enough to take the odd knock is key. Any ideas?

When you say "portable" do you mean that it can be powered off the MBP battery or will you have access to AC?
That drive says it is "transportable" but it is a bit unclear as to the way it is powered. It says it needs 5v DC but does that have to come from an AC power supply adapter?
If you need a FW bus powered drive for those times when there is no power available I have had success with the "Ondago" drive from acomdata. It is powered off the FW bus on my G4 PB.

Scroll down about half the page on this link.

No it can need it's own power source if necessary, that's not particularly important. Most, if not all, the shooting will be done inside near power sources, it's just that the hard drive itself will be travelling all around the country and I'm looking for the most secure and rugged drive should it be dropped or something.

I think the thing you really need to look at is how the drive is mounted inside the case. Any hard drive will not fair to well when subjected to dropping or knocking it about. Having it rubber mounted inside a case will help to minimize the knocks and provide some protection.
