I know 3D and 3D TV has been discussed countless times here, but when I ran a search for 3D I couldn't get a single hit. Dunno why.

Anyway, I was just downtown and got my first glimpse at a Samsung 3D TV in action.

One thing I noticed about it that really bugged me was that the frequency of the glasses wasn't in tune with the stores light bulbs or flourescent lighting (they had both). Same goes with all the regular TVs on display.
Everything in the room started to flicker, except for the 3D TV.

Has anyone else noticed this problem?

They have a big one on display in my local electronics shop here in Kyoto. Ridiculous. You'll surely be hurting yourself by using it.

I watched "Dragons" with my grandkids. 3D added nothing to an otherwise enjoyable movie, and the four tickets cost me $35 for an early afternoon matinee. Just a rip to jack up prices. I can't see 3DTV being any different.
