3d motion blur help

hi, I have 2d truck which is animated to drive past the screen and everything looks good, the motion blur works very well. However, when I turn the truck layer into a 3d layer, the motion blur looks very bad.

How can I keep the layer in 3d, while still retaining its old motion blur or something similar?

Not sure if this will do the trick but you could precompose the layer then turn it 3d and add the motion blur.

thanks so much for the help, that actually fixed it
I kept the truck 2d and left the position keyframes, then precomped it into the main composition and turned it 3d, now I have a 3d truck with motion blur!
