I ordered a Panasonic AG 3D A1 cam, which will hopefully ship next week. I plan to realize monitoring with a Blackmagic HDLink 3D and a LCD Monitor with polarization method. The Blackmagic converts the signal vom 2x HD-SDI to some 3D modes, such as line-by-line, which is the right signal for a polarizing monitor. I guess this will work.
But the better reason would be to use a HDMI 1.4 monitor with 120 Hz technology and shutter glasses. The blackmagic supports the required frame-packing method for a monitor like this, but how the hell do I get the shutter glasses sycnhronized?
The only reason I see at the moment is to buy a huge 3D TV (i. e. Samsung 46") with a HDMI 1.4 connector. All 3D TVs seem to come always with shutterglasses which are driven by the TV, but all monitors seem to never come with shutterglasses. Am I wrong? Has someone a reason for me?
