3D in after effects?

thanks man ... I'll give those a look.

who?

it is cool, but if you want some advanced 3D you will need a real 3D tool
what tool u recomend + how would u get it to look 3d in after effect?

a 3D tool like a 3D software. you can choose any of them, because all can render with alpha channel, which you need.
then you will have to composite those images in AE, or you will have to render out the 3D object and the video set as an imageplane in the 3D software.

what i don't understand is how do u export the 3d image or animation to a format so u can upload it onto adobe after effect so u can make a kool effect out of it?

I use Cinema 4d as well. The camera/lights import in AE is really simple. You can also look into Zaxworks for some simple 3D applications right in AE. It basically extrudes Illustrator paths. I haven't used it much since buying Cinema 4d, but I'm planning to get back into it to solve some easy problems quickly. (like extruding and animating logos)
