3d film management

Hi guys!

I'm planning a short film that will use lots of 3d, mainly characters and props.
My question is, after having all the script prep, breakdowns, character list, strips (for the live action stuff), I want to know if there is some kind of project based ERP software specially designed for cgi work.

Some kind of software to manage all the different shots, what is needed in them, how many days to dedicate, coordinate artist and all that stuff. In case I can't find anything suitable I'll try to use a mainstream ERP, but if there is something more specific for animation films where you can store links to files, reference images, even storyboards etc... I would love to give it a look.

Well as you know there are many commercial ERPs out there, but....

Nothing beats Excel!

:)

No i'm serious, if the European Space Agency could handle rocket design/implementation management that was all managed in Excel. I think just about any thing is possible in Excel.

Including CGI itself, I've seen a 3d engine run in excel where each cell was treated as a pixel! :)

Funny enough I ended using excel hahaha

I also saw that 3d stuff done with excel it was pretty impressive!
